How to Build an Illager Invasion Raid Farm
Why Raid Farming Works Here
Illager Invasion adds new illager types to raid waves, which means a standard raid farm yields the mod's exclusive drops: Platinum Chunks, Unusual Dust, Illusionary Dust, Primal Essence, and rare items like the Hallowed Gem and Horn of Sight. The more modded illagers spawn, the more of these you collect per cycle.
Core Farm Design
1. Build a raid trigger in a village you control — either a captured village or a purpose-built one with beds and workstations.
2. Route raid mobs into a kill chamber using water streams or a drop shaft. New illagers like the Basher and Provoker behave aggressively, so keep the funnel wide enough that they do not break walls.
3. Use a killing mechanism that does not destroy drops — fall damage plus a manual finisher, or a controlled damage source.
4. Collect drops with hoppers into sorted chests, separating platinum, dusts, and essences.
Handling Problem Mobs
- Necromancers summon reinforcements; kill them first or your farm floods.
- Firecallers and Flying Magma can ignite your farm — use non-flammable blocks.
- Inquisitors and Invokers bring Invoker Fangs; keep the kill zone away from your collection system.
- Illusioners create decoys; a sweeping weapon or area damage clears them fast.
Run the farm in cycles and reset the raid. Over time this is the most reliable source of the mod's crafting materials.
