Expanding to Surrounding Islands
Planning Your Route
Before crossing to neighboring islands, gather sufficient supplies: building blocks, food, and tools. Map out your journey from the central island—identify the shortest water crossings or natural bridges formed by mountain terrain. Build temporary waypoints or beacon markers to navigate safely between islands.
Building Bridges and Pathways
Construct bridges carefully across water gaps. Use blocks that won't degrade quickly and are easy to repair. Consider building bridges slightly elevated above water level to prevent mobs from swimming underneath. Mark your path clearly so you don't get lost returning home.
Establishing Outposts
On each new island, build a small outpost rather than a full settlement initially. Include basic shelter, a crafting table, and storage for resources you gather there. This serves as a safe respawn point and supply cache for future expeditions.
Resource Gathering
Each surrounding island offers unique resources—different tree types, stone variations, and ore deposits. Establish mining operations and logging camps near your outposts, then transport materials back to your central base for processing and storage.
