Set Up Your First Racing Track
Create and Trace Your Track
Start by running /race create to open the interactive menu. Follow the prompts to name your race and configure basic settings. Once created, you'll need to define the track layout.
The easiest way is to use AutoTrace. Get in a boat and drive one complete lap around your intended track. While driving, run /checkpoint autotrace start <race> to begin recording. Complete your lap naturally—the plugin automatically creates checkpoints based on your path. This saves you from manually placing dozens of waypoints.
Prepare and Test
After tracing, use /race prepare [name] to spawn boats and teleport test players to the starting line. This lets you verify the checkpoint placement makes sense and the track flows well. If checkpoints feel misaligned, you can retrace the route.
Once satisfied, you're ready to run actual races. Use /race start [name] when players are ready, and the countdown lights will begin.
