Getting Your First Pair of Wings

Crafting Wings

Wings are crafted using recipes available in your crafting table. Gather the required materials—these vary depending on which wing type you want to make. Check your crafting menu or recipe book to see what ingredients each wing design needs.

Equipping Your Wings

Once crafted, open your inventory screen. Look for the back or cape slot—this is a dedicated equipment slot separate from your armor. Place your wings there by clicking and dragging them into this slot. Unlike chest armor, wings won't replace your body protection.

Taking Flight

With wings equipped, jump into the air and press your jump button again while airborne. You'll begin flying and can move freely through the sky. Remember that flying consumes your hunger bar, so keep food in your inventory for longer journeys.

Speed Tips

Your flying speed is affected by the armor you wear. Heavy armor pieces slow you down significantly. If you want maximum speed, consider removing some armor temporarily. You can always put it back on once you land.
