Understanding Hunger Drain

Flying with wings consumes your hunger bar continuously. Longer flights require more food, and heavy armor makes this drain worse. Plan your trips accordingly and always carry extra food.

Packing Food for Long Journeys

Bring high-saturation food items that restore significant hunger. Stack multiple food types in your inventory so you don't run out mid-flight. If your hunger drops too low, you'll lose the ability to fly and begin falling.

Using Hunger-Free Wings

The mod supports data pack tags that can make specific wing types fly without consuming hunger. If your world or server has these configured, those wings are ideal for extended exploration. Check with your server admin or world creator about which wings, if any, have this feature enabled.

Reducing Armor Penalties

Wearing less armor improves your flying speed and reduces hunger drain indirectly by letting you travel faster. Remove heavy pieces before long flights, or adjust the armor speed penalty setting if you have access to mod configuration.
