Disable the Nether Portal in Your World
Using the Portal Command
To prevent players from accessing the Nether dimension, you can disable the Nether portal using a simple command.
Steps
1. Open the chat window (T key by default)
2. Type the following command:
`
/portal nether enabled false
`
3. Press Enter to execute
Once disabled, any Nether portal frame in your world will no longer function. Players who attempt to enter will remain in the Overworld.
Re-enabling Later
If you want to allow Nether access again at a later point in your playthrough, simply run:
`
/portal nether enabled true
`
This command works regardless of how many portals exist in your world—it's a global setting that affects all Nether portals simultaneously. This is useful for progression-based servers or worlds where you want to gate dimensional access until players meet certain milestones.
