Adjust the Blur Intensity on Close Objects
Access Shader Settings
Open your shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options, though the exact path depends on your loader.
Find Blur Distance Controls
Look for settings related to "blur radius," "focus distance," or "near-field blur." Hyperopia Shaders exposes controls that let you change how aggressively nearby blocks blur.
Customize to Your Preference
Increase the blur value if you want a stronger dreamlike effect on foreground objects—useful for artistic screenshots or reducing visual clutter when building. Decrease it if the blur feels too disorienting during normal gameplay.
Test in Different Environments
Walk through dense forests, open plains, and cluttered building areas to see how your adjustment feels. The blur effect interacts differently depending on what's actually near your camera. Fine-tune until the balance between visual interest and playability feels right for your playstyle.
Remember that the breathing effect (focus shift over time) will still apply on top of your blur setting, creating a subtle pulsing sensation.
