Set Up Hydron Clear Water for Optimal Visibility

Enable the Resource Pack

Once installed, open your world or join a server. Press Esc and navigate to Options → Resource Packs. You'll see Hydron Clear Water listed on the left side under available packs. Click the arrow to move it to your active packs on the right.

Position It Correctly in Your Load Order

The order matters. Hydron works best when placed at the top of your active resource pack list. This ensures its water textures and fog removal override other packs. If you use multiple packs (like a lighting or terrain pack), keep Hydron above them.

Verify the Changes

Close the menu and enter water—ocean, river, or underwater cave. You should immediately notice the thick blue fog is gone and visibility extends much further. If the water still looks murky, double-check that Hydron is enabled and positioned at the top of your list.

Combine with Other Packs

Hydron pairs well with lighting resource packs if you want brighter underwater environments. Simply load your lighting pack below Hydron in the list. The two won't conflict since Hydron only modifies water fog and color.
