Verify the Modpack Is Running and Check Your FPS Improvement

Confirm Hydrogen is Active

When you launch Minecraft with Hydrogen Modpack installed, the mod loads automatically in the background. You won't see a new menu or button—optimization mods work silently.

To verify it's running:

1. Open the game and load a world

2. Press F3 to open the debug screen

3. Look at the top-left corner for your current FPS counter

4. Play for 30 seconds in the same area, then note the average FPS

Measure Performance Gains

To see real improvement:

1. Create or load a world with moderate complexity (some buildings, terrain features)

2. Stand in the same spot and record your FPS with Hydrogen active

3. The modpack reduces lag by optimizing rendering and memory usage—you should notice smoother gameplay, especially in areas with many blocks or entities

4. If you're on a low-end PC, the difference will be most noticeable when looking at complex landscapes or during busy moments

The modpack doesn't change how the game plays, only how smoothly it runs. If your FPS hasn't improved noticeably, check that all mod files loaded correctly during startup.
