Configuring Husk Spawns Outside Deserts

How Husk Spawning Works

In vanilla Minecraft, husks only appear in desert biomes. This mod changes that by letting husks spawn among regular zombies in standard biomes, so you can run into them anywhere zombies appear.

The key setting is chanceZombieIsHusk. It controls the probability that a zombie spawn is replaced by a husk instead. The default is 0.15, and you can set it anywhere from 0.0 to 1.0. A value of 0.0 means no husks replace zombies, while 1.0 means every zombie spawn becomes a husk.

You edit this value in the mod's config file. Lower it for a subtle sprinkle of husks, or raise it if you want them to dominate your undead encounters.

Why It Matters

Husks behave differently from regular zombies, so mixing them in adds variety and a bit more challenge. They also do not burn in sunlight, meaning they stay a threat during the day. Adjust the chance to match your preferred difficulty and biome feel.
