Trigger Channeling Lightning During Storms
How Channeling Works on Maces
Channeling enchantment calls down lightning strikes when you throw your mace during thunderstorms. This enchantment also increases throwing speed, making your mace travel faster.
Setting Up Channeling
1. Enchant your mace — Use an anvil to apply Channeling from an enchanted book.
2.
3. Throw at a target — Right-click to throw. Lightning strikes the impact location if conditions are met.
Combat Strategy
- Damage and crowd control — Lightning strikes deal significant damage and can ignite mobs or TNT.
- Multiple targets — Throw at groups during storms for area-effect lightning damage.
- Faster throws — The speed boost from Channeling lets your mace travel further and reach targets quicker, even outside storms.
Timing Tips
- Plan raids or hunts during thunderstorms to maximize Channeling effectiveness.
- Combine with Loyalty so your mace returns after striking, allowing rapid successive throws.
- Lightning can ignite flammable blocks, useful for controlled burns or trap activation.
- The speed bonus applies regardless of weather, making Channeling useful even when storms aren't active.
