Disable Sprinting to Increase Survival Difficulty

Open Configuration Settings

Navigate to your mod's config file in .minecraft/config and open it with a text editor.

Find and Disable Sprinting

Locate the sprinting option in the configuration. Set it to false or disabled to remove the ability to sprint. This prevents players from moving faster than normal walking speed.

Save and Restart

Save your changes and restart Minecraft. Test by attempting to sprint—you should no longer be able to move faster than your normal walking speed.

Gameplay Impact

Disabling sprinting increases survival difficulty by making escape and travel slower. This pairs well with the hunger removal mechanic for a more deliberate, cautious playstyle. Mobs will be harder to outrun, and exploration takes longer. If you find this too restrictive, you can re-enable sprinting by changing the config value back to true.
