Add Custom Villager Names and Skins

Prepare Your Custom Files

The mod supports custom configuration files that let you define unique names and skins for your villagers. Navigate to your mod's config folder and locate the custom names and skins directories. These are typically found in your Minecraft config or mods folder structure.

Add Names

Create or edit the names file (usually a .txt or .json file depending on mod version). Add one name per line in plain text format. When villagers spawn, they'll randomly select from this list instead of using only default names. Make sure names are appropriate for your playstyle.

Add Skins

Place custom skin files (.png format) into the designated skins folder. Skins should follow standard Minecraft player skin dimensions. The mod will randomly assign these skins to villagers as they spawn or when you reload your world.

Apply Changes

Save all files and restart your Minecraft world or use /reload if the mod supports it. New villagers will use your custom names and skins. Existing villagers may require you to reload chunks or respawn them to see changes take effect.
