How to Spawn Human-Looking Illagers and Villagers for Testing

Use the retextured spawn eggs

This pack retextures the spawn eggs for the illager family, so the fastest way to see the human look is to grab the matching egg from the creative inventory and use it. The eggs cover the evoker, pillager, vindicator, ravager, witch, and iron golem, so you can place each one and immediately compare how the human model and Fresh Animations rig read in-game.

Spawning them the survival way

If you are testing in survival or on a server, you do not need eggs:

• Villagers appear naturally in villages, or you can cure a zombie villager to get one.
• Pillagers and vindicators show up during raids and at pillager outposts.
• Evokers appear in woodland mansions and as raid leaders.
• Witches spawn in swamp huts and during raids.
• Ravagers are ridden by pillagers during raids.

Making them easy to inspect

Put the mob in a lit, open area so the new textures are not hidden by shadow. Use a name tag so it will not despawn, and stand a few blocks back to watch the idle and walk animations play. If a mob looks vanilla, reorder your resource packs so this one loads above conflicting packs.
