Understanding Painting Cycles

The HTTYD Paintings Resource Pack replaces vanilla Minecraft paintings with HTTYD artwork. Since the mod cycles through designs, you may need to place multiple paintings to see all available artwork.

Viewing All Paintings

1. Place paintings on different wall sections by right-clicking with the painting placement mechanic.

2. Each placement will cycle to the next painting in the rotation—continue placing until you see a design you recognize.

3. Note which paintings you like so you can recreate them intentionally in future placements.

4. Use item frames alongside paintings for additional decoration and to display specific artwork permanently.

5. Experiment with wall materials (stone, dirt, wood) to see how different backgrounds affect how paintings look.

Finding Specific Designs

• Dragon class symbols (green, red, purple circles) appear frequently and are easy to identify.
• Character and dragon scene paintings are larger and typically feature recognizable HTTYD imagery.
• Circular teal and gold paintings work well for filling corners and small spaces.
• If you place a painting you don't want, destroy it and place a new one to cycle to the next design.
