Avoid and Escape Hornet Attacks

Recognize Hornet Territory

Hornets spawn in groups throughout the Overworld and are always hostile. They will attack if you venture too close to them or their nests. Listen for their distinctive buzzing sound as an early warning.

Escape Strategies

Immediate evasion:

• Sprint away from the swarm at ground level or by jumping to higher terrain
• Hornets deal poison damage that scales with your difficulty setting, so even brief contact is dangerous
• Enter water or a cave to break line of sight; hornets may lose interest

Protective measures:

• Wear armor to reduce incoming damage
• Carry milk buckets to cleanse poison effects if stung
• Travel during times when you can see nests ahead and navigate around them

Dealing with Poison

If you take poison damage, drink milk immediately to remove the effect and prevent further health loss. Keep multiple milk buckets in your inventory when exploring areas with high hornet activity.

Avoid engaging hornets directly unless you have strong gear and healing supplies. They are designed as a persistent environmental threat rather than a foe to confront.
