Use the Automatic Journal to Track Milestones

Access Your Journal

Open the journal interface through your inventory or a dedicated keybind (check your mod controls). The journal automatically logs events without requiring manual input.

Review Logged Events

Your journal records several types of entries:

  • Milestones: Major achievements like first night survived, first structure found
  • Deaths: When and where you died, plus what killed you
  • Trades: Completed trades with villagers
  • Photo memories: Screenshots or marked locations you've saved

Navigate and Search

Scroll through dated entries to review your progress over time. Many journal implementations include filters or tabs to jump to specific event types. This helps you track your world's history without alt-tabbing to external notes.

Use Memories for Navigation

Photo memories and marked locations serve as waypoints. Reference them when planning return trips or remembering where you found valuable resources or structures.
