Distinguish Between Friendly and Hostile Mobs at a Glance

Set Up Contrasting Colors

In the HitBox Plus configuration menu, assign distinctly different colors to friendly and hostile entity categories. For example, use green or cyan for passive mobs and bright red or orange for hostile mobs.

Use Color Psychology

  • Cool colors (blue, green, cyan) for animals and allies — signals safety
  • Warm colors (red, orange, yellow) for threats — signals danger
  • Neutral colors (white, gray) for players or special entities

Quick Identification in Combat

With proper color coding, you can instantly identify threats without reading entity names or analyzing behavior. This is especially useful in dark caves, during raids, or in multiplayer PvP scenarios where split-second decisions matter.

Fine-Tune Opacity

Some configurations allow you to adjust hitbox transparency. Make friendly hitboxes slightly transparent so they don't obscure your view, while keeping hostile hitboxes solid and prominent for quick threat assessment.
