Debug Mob Farms and Spawning Areas Using Hitboxes

Visualize Spawn Spaces

Enable hitbox rendering in your mob farm to see exactly where entities are positioned and how densely they're packed. This helps identify bottlenecks or inefficient spacing in your farm design.

Check Hitbox Overlap

When mobs are stacked or confined, their hitboxes will overlap visually. Use this to verify that your farm's containment is working as intended and that mobs aren't escaping through gaps.

Identify Despawn Zones

Watch hitboxes appear and disappear as you move around your farm. This shows you the render distance and helps you understand where mobs despawn, allowing you to optimize your farm's efficiency.

Test Mob Movement Paths

Enable hitboxes while mobs navigate through your farm's channels or funnels. You'll see exactly how they move and can spot areas where they get stuck or behave unexpectedly.

Adjust Farm Layout

Use the visual feedback from hitboxes to refine your farm's design — widening paths, removing obstacles, or repositioning collection points for better mob flow.
