Troubleshoot Visual Glitches and Artifacts

Address Flickering or Banding

If you notice flickering shadows or color banding (visible stripes in gradients), this often relates to shader precision settings. Check if your shader options include Color Depth or Precision settings and ensure they're set to high or maximum. Lower precision can cause visible artifacts.

Fix Bloom Overflow

If bloom effects are too intense or bleeding excessively into dark areas, reduce the Bloom Intensity slider in Shader Options. You can also lower Bloom Radius to contain the glow effect closer to its source.

Resolve Water Rendering Issues

If water appears too bright, too dark, or doesn't animate smoothly, verify that Water Animation is enabled in settings. If water looks broken or distorted, try disabling and re-enabling the water animation feature, then reload your world.

Clear Shader Cache

If visual problems persist after adjusting settings, look for a Reload Shaders or Clear Cache option in the Shader Options menu. This forces the shader to recompile and often fixes persistent glitches.

Verify Compatibility

Ensure your graphics driver is up to date, as outdated drivers can cause rendering artifacts with shader packs.
