Set Up Ideal Lighting for Screenshot Sessions

Positioning for Best Light

The shader's lighting is most dramatic during sunrise and sunset. Use the /time set command to lock the game at these times, or use a mod that allows time control. Position your camera so the sun is to the side of your subject—this creates dimensional shadows that make structures pop in photos.

Adjusting Shader Settings for Screenshots

Enable the highest shader settings available if your system can handle it. Increase shadow intensity and distance to their maximum for deep, defined shadows. Check if the mod offers bloom or saturation controls—subtle increases can make colors more vivid without looking unnatural.

Reducing Distractions

Turn off the HUD using F1. If the mod includes optional visual effects or color grading, preview them to see which suits your build's aesthetic. Take multiple shots from different angles and times to find the most flattering lighting setup for your structure.
