Adjust Shadow Intensity for Your Build Style

Finding the Shadow Settings

Shader settings are accessed through the Shader Options menu. Open this by pressing the key bound to shader settings (usually accessed via the pause menu or a dedicated keybind), then look for shadow-related sliders.

Tuning Shadow Depth

The mod provides controls for shadow darkness and spread. If your builds look too harsh with deep black shadows, reduce the shadow intensity slider to soften them. Conversely, if shadows feel too subtle and your terrain looks flat, increase the value to make them more pronounced.

Shadow distance also matters—increasing it extends shadows further across your world, which helps large structures cast realistic shadows but costs performance. Decrease this value if you're experiencing frame drops.

Testing Your Changes

After adjusting, move around your build at different times of day. Morning and evening light angles show shadow effects most clearly. Take a screenshot to compare before and after. Remember that shadow appearance changes based on where the sun is in the sky, so test multiple angles before finalizing your settings.
