Viewing 3D Door Details from Different Angles

Understanding the New Depth

Now that your doors have dimensional frames and hinges, viewing them from the right angle reveals the full detail. Walk around an open door to see how the thickness changes the shadow and highlight patterns.

Best Viewing Positions

For closed doors: Stand directly in front at eye level. The recessed panel and extruded frame border become obvious. The hinges cast shadows on the side edge.

For open doors: Move to the side perpendicular to the door's swing. This angle shows the physical thickness of the door panel itself—you'll see the layered depth that wasn't visible in flat vanilla doors.

For trapdoors: Crouch and look up from below an open trapdoor to see the recessed frame and centered grate details. Look down from above to see the raised outer bevel.

Lighting Matters

Daylight and block light interact with the new geometry. Place doors in well-lit areas or use torches nearby to cast shadows that emphasize the 3D structure. Caves and dark interiors may make the depth less obvious at first glance.
