Troubleshoot a Head That Lost Its Custom Name

Checking If the Mod Is Active

If a renamed head reverted to its original name after being placed and broken:

1. Verify the mod is installed and enabled in your mod loader

2. Check that you're on a server or world where the mod is active (it's server-side, so it must run on the server)

3. Rename the head again using an anvil

4. Place and break it once more to confirm the name persists

Server-Side Requirement

Head Name Fix must be installed on the server for the feature to work. If you're playing single-player, it runs server-side automatically. On multiplayer servers, the server administrator must have the mod installed. If names still revert after confirming the mod is active, the issue may be with your specific Minecraft or mod version — try renaming the head and testing again.
