Load a Custom Skin from an Alternative Server

Access the Skin Customization Screen

Open your inventory and look for the HD Skins Mod customization button, or use the mod's keybind (configurable in your controls settings). This opens the skin selection interface.

Select Your Skin Server

The customization screen displays available skin servers. Choose the alternative server where your desired skin is hosted. The mod supports multiple servers beyond Mojang's default, allowing you to browse skins from different sources.

Preview and Apply Your Skin

Once you've selected a server, browse the available skins. Most servers allow you to preview skins before applying them—you'll see your character model update in real-time. When you find the skin you want, click to apply it. The mod will load and cache the skin for use in your game world.

Verify Your Skin Loaded

Exit the customization screen and check your character in-game or in a mirror block. If the skin doesn't appear immediately, try rejoining the world. The mod caches skins locally, so subsequent logins will load faster.
