Adjusting Shadow Intensity for Better Visibility

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually accessed through video settings). Look for the Harran Cinematic Shadows configuration panel.

Modify Shadow Parameters

Locate the shadow intensity or darkness slider. This controls how dark shadows cast by buildings, trees, and terrain appear across your world. If nighttime feels too dark for survival gameplay, increase this value to brighten shadowed areas. Conversely, reduce it for deeper, more dramatic shadows.

Adjust the shadow distance setting to control how far shadows render from your position. Lower values improve performance on weaker systems while still maintaining the cinematic mood.

Fine-Tune Sunlight

The sunlight adjustment slider controls overall daytime brightness. Since this shader darkens the landscape for atmosphere, you may need to increase sunlight values if you're struggling to see while mining or building during day cycles.

Test Your Changes

Move between shadowed and lit areas to see how adjustments affect visibility. Pay attention to underground spaces and areas beneath tree canopies. Save your preferred settings and test during both day and night cycles before finalizing.
