Configuring Harder Natural Healing

Tuning Healing to Your Liking

Harder Natural Healing Mod puts the pace of regeneration in your hands through its config file. The core setting, healingPerSecond, controls how quickly you regain health naturally, so lowering it makes food, bandages, potions, and beacons far more valuable. You can also decide what healing costs you by adjusting healingExhaustionCost, which sets how much hunger is spent per point of health recovered, and minimumFoodHealingLevel, the hunger threshold you must stay above before natural healing works at all.

By default the mod also grants a small recovery boost each morning when you wake up, governed by wakeupHealingAmount. For harsher worlds, peacefulHunger allows hunger to drain even in Peaceful mode, while minimumStarvationHealth sets the lowest health starvation can reduce you to. Finally, extraExhaustionWhenHurt adds hunger drain whenever you take damage, and attackHealingDelayTicks delays healing after being hit. Adjust these together to make survival as forgiving or punishing as you want.
