Transition to Copper and Bronze

Locate copper ore deposits and mine them with stone tools. Build a smelter and smelt raw copper ore into ingots. Combine copper with tin to create bronze—a stronger metal suitable for better weapons and tools. Bronze-age equipment lasts longer and performs better than stone.

Advance to Iron Working

Find iron ore deeper underground and smelt it in a furnace. Iron tools and weapons are significantly more durable. Build a proper blacksmith's forge to craft and improve iron equipment. Higher blacksmithing skill produces better-quality items.

Unlock Later Technologies

Continue mining for rarer ores as you progress. Each new metal tier unlocks better crafting recipes and machinery. Follow the technology tree by exploring ancient ruins and shipwrecks for blueprints and knowledge. Eventually, you'll access steel, advanced machines, and eventually space-age technology.
