Maintain Steady Aim While Using Handycam
Understand Crosshair Behavior
Handycam's camera movements are visual effects that sway your view but don't affect your actual aiming reticle or hit detection. Your crosshair remains centered on your target regardless of screen shake or sway.
Disable Motion for PvP
If camera movement interferes with your aim during combat, disable or reduce intensity for:
- Damage shake — prevents view jolt when enemies hit you
- Jump landing shake — keeps your aim steady when landing from height
- Bow recoil — removes camera kick from arrow shots
Leave walking sway enabled if desired; it won't affect your targeting accuracy.
Optimize for Your Playstyle
Many players keep Handycam active for exploration and survival but disable combat-related effects for PvP situations. Since the mod is client-side only, you can adjust settings between activities without impacting multiplayer servers. Test different configurations during practice sessions to find what helps you aim comfortably while maintaining the immersive feel you enjoy.
