How to Craft and Place a Chair in Handcrafted
Chairs are the most basic seating block in Handcrafted, and once you know the pattern you can make them in any wood type the mod supports.
Crafting the chair
Open a crafting table and arrange your planks in a chair shape: a vertical column of planks on the right side for the backrest, a horizontal row of planks along the bottom for the seat, and a single plank at the bottom-left for the front leg. The exact grid is small, so if your first attempt produces nothing, shift the shape around until the recipe locks in. Any vanilla plank variant (oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, and modded woods like bamboo) produces the matching chair.
Placing and using it
Hold the chair and right-click the ground to set it down. Chairs face the direction you are looking, so stand where you want the seat to face before placing. Right-click a placed chair to sit; press your sneak key to stand back up. Chairs are decorative but also work as a cheap alternative to stairs for tight spaces.
Matching a room
Craft chairs from the same wood as your table, bench, and cupboard so a dining set looks consistent. If you only have one wood type on hand, you can still mix woods deliberately for a rustic look — the mod does not restrict combinations.
