Make Text More Readable in Dark Menu Areas

Identify Problem Areas

Open menus where text feels hard to read—typically tooltips, item names in inventories, or chat text overlaid on dark backgrounds. Note which specific UI elements need improvement.

Adjust Text Color Contrast

Locate text texture files in assets/minecraft/textures/font or text-related GUI files. Increase the brightness of text colors, or switch from gray to white or bright purple to stand out more against the dark OLED background.

Modify Background Panels

If text sits on a dark panel, slightly lighten that panel's background or add a subtle border. This creates separation without breaking the dark-mode aesthetic. Even a small increase in contrast dramatically improves readability.

Test in Different Lighting

Test your changes in-game during both day and night, and with different gamma/brightness settings. Ensure text remains legible without becoming washed out or losing the sleek purple theme's visual appeal.
