Moving the Compass Readout So It Stops Covering Other HUD Elements

Understanding the Position Settings

GUI Compass places its text in the top-left corner by default, which often collides with minimaps, potion timers, or modded info panels. The mod gives you three horizontal anchors through compassPositionIsLeft, compassPositionIsCenter, and compassPositionIsRight, plus a compassHeightOffset value that nudges the text up or down.

Choosing an Anchor and Offset

1. Open the mod config.

2. Pick exactly one horizontal anchor. Enable compassPositionIsLeft for the left edge, compassPositionIsCenter for the middle, or compassPositionIsRight for the right edge. Only one should be active at a time.

3. Adjust compassHeightOffset to push the text away from the very top of the screen. Increasing the value moves it further down; a small value keeps it near the top.

4. Save and check the result in-game.

Avoiding Overlap

If your minimap sits top-left, switch to the right anchor. If a boss bar or chat sits at the bottom, keep the offset small so the compass stays high. Combine the anchor with the offset until the readout sits in an empty strip of screen. You can revisit these settings any time without restarting the game.
