How to Use the Clock GUI to Survive the First Night
The Problem
New players often get caught outside when night falls because the vanilla clock is hard to read. The GUI Clock Mod fixes this by giving you an exact time reading, so you can act before it is too late.
Step-by-Step
1. Gather the materials for a Clock early in the day.
2. Keep the Clock in your hotbar or offhand so you can check it quickly.
3. Periodically glance at the GUI readout as you explore or mine.
4. When the time approaches the evening hours, start heading back toward your shelter.
5. If you cannot reach shelter in time, use the remaining daylight to dig into a hillside or place a quick dirt box.
Reading the Warning Signs
The numeric display tells you exactly how much daylight remains. Morning and early afternoon hours mean you are safe to roam. As the number climbs into the late afternoon and evening range, mobs will begin spawning in dark areas. Because the readout is unambiguous, you no longer have to squint at the sun or guess. Pair the clock with a bed so that once night arrives you can sleep through it and reset to morning. This routine turns the first night from a scramble into a planned event.
