Setting Up Guest Players on Your Server

Configuring Guest Access

Guestpath Secure Bridge Plugin lets you run an online-mode server while safely welcoming non-premium friends. Enable guest mode in the configuration, then add approved usernames to the allowed guests list. Premium account usernames must be registered separately to prevent impersonation.

When guests join, they receive a custom chat prefix, welcome message, and spawn in a default gamemode you specify. Unknown guests are automatically blocked. The plugin works seamlessly with Bedrock players using Floodgate or Geyser—they bypass guest checks automatically.

If your server loses connection to verification services, guests are blocked as a safety measure. Use /sidegate reload to apply configuration changes without restarting. This approach keeps your server secure while letting friends play together.
