Set Up GSTools as a Dependency for Custom Mods

Why GSTools is Required

GSTools Mod provides the foundational code libraries that many modern Minecraft mods depend on to function. If you're running mods from the Alive ecosystem (such as Enhanced Survival or Life & Death), GSTools must be installed first or those mods will fail to load.

Installation Steps

1. Load GSTools before dependent mods — Place GSTools in your mods folder and ensure it loads in your mod manager's priority list before any mods that require it.

2. Check mod logs — Launch your game. If a mod fails to load, check the crash log for dependency errors mentioning GSTools.

3. Verify compatibility — Confirm that GSTools and your other mods target the same Minecraft version.

4. Test in-game — Once loaded, GSTools runs silently in the background. You won't see new blocks or items; instead, you'll notice that dependent mods now function correctly.

If you see HUD elements appear (like custom health bars or status displays from Enhanced Survival), GSTools is working properly and providing those shared interface components to your other mods.
