How to Configure Grim Anticheat Alerts and Notifications

Understanding the Alert System

Grim Anticheat sends alerts to staff members when it detects suspicious player behavior. By default, these alerts go to players with the appropriate permission. You need to decide who receives alerts and how they are delivered.

Setting Up Alert Recipients

Grant the alert permission node to your staff group using your permissions plugin (such as LuckPerms). Only players with this permission will see anticheat alerts in chat. If you want alerts to go to a Discord channel instead of or in addition to in-game chat, you will need a bridge plugin that forwards console or chat output to Discord, then configure that bridge to capture Grim's alert output.

Tuning Alert Verbosity

Grim's configuration file lets you control how much detail each alert contains and whether certain check categories are announced. If your staff are being spammed, raise the threshold at which alerts fire or disable alerts for specific check types that produce frequent false positives on your server. If you are missing cheats, lower the threshold so borderline behavior still generates a notification.

Testing Your Setup

Have a trusted player (or yourself with a second account) perform obviously suspicious movement, such as flying in survival or moving at impossible speeds. Confirm that the alert appears where you expect it. Adjust thresholds until the signal-to-noise ratio is acceptable for your staff team.
