Make Greetings Feel Natural with Random Delays
Add Realistic Timing Between Login and Greeting
Greeter Bro Mod includes a random delay feature that waits a few seconds after someone logs in before posting the greeting. This makes the message feel less robotic and more like a real person typing.
Enable and Configure Delays
1. Open your mod configuration file
2.
3. Enable the random delay feature (usually a true/false toggle)
4.
5. Save and reload your server
6. Now when players join, there will be a natural pause before the greeting appears in chat
Why This Matters
- Instant greetings can look automated or suspicious to players
- A 2–5 second delay feels more human and natural
- Helps your server feel less like a bot farm and more like an active community
- Works especially well on servers with chat plugins that enforce realistic message timing
Adjust the delay range based on your server's personality—shorter delays for fast-paced servers, longer delays for roleplay or immersive communities.
