Blacklist Players from Receiving Automatic Greetings
Prevent Greetings for Specific Players
Sometimes you don't want automatic greetings for certain players—maybe they rejoin frequently, test accounts, or prefer privacy. The blacklist feature lets you silence greetings for specific usernames.
How to Add Players to the Blacklist
1. Open your Greeter Bro Mod configuration file
2. Find the blacklist section (often called blacklist or ignored_players)
3. Add player usernames to the list, one per line or in a comma-separated format depending on your config style
4. Example format: blacklist: [TestBot, AltAccount, ServerBot]
5. Save the file and reload your server
6. Those players will now log in silently without triggering a greeting message
Managing the Blacklist
- Add bot accounts or test accounts to prevent spam
- Remove names from the list if you want to start greeting them again
- The blacklist is case-sensitive, so match usernames exactly as they appear in-game
- If a player changes their username, you may need to update the blacklist entry
