Understanding Grave Protection

When you die to a Cataclysm boss, your grave blocks can be destroyed by the boss's attacks, scattering your items across the arena. This data pack prevents that destruction, keeping your items contained in the grave.

Setting Up Protection

1. Extract the data pack before adding it to your world folder

2. Locate the Block folder inside the extracted files

3. Check your Minecraft version:

• Playing 1.20.1? Rename Block to Blocks
• Other versions? Leave the folder name as-is

4. Place the data pack in your world's datapacks folder

5. Load your world — the protection applies automatically to all Cataclysm bosses

What Gets Protected

All giant enemies from the Cataclysm mod are covered, including the Netherite Monstrosity and other massive bosses. Your grave blocks will remain intact even during intense boss fights, so you can recover your gear safely after respawning.

Multiplayer Benefit

On servers where you can't use commands to retrieve lost items, this protection is essential. Your items stay put instead of being lost to boss attacks.
