Controlling Where Clovers Spawn in Your World

Understanding Clover Distribution

Grass Clovers Resource Pack uses a weighted randomization system to decide when short grass blocks display as clovers instead of regular grass. By default, clover patches appear less frequently than standard grass, creating a natural, varied look across your terrain.

Customizing Spawn Rates

To adjust how often clovers appear, you'll need to edit the blockstate file for short grass within the resource pack. Locate the grass blockstate configuration and modify the spawn weights—the resource pack assigns a weight of 5 to clovers and 20 to regular grass by default.

Increasing the clover weight makes them appear more frequently; decreasing it makes them rarer. Keep the total weights balanced so the distribution feels natural rather than overwhelming or sparse.

Applying Your Changes

After editing the blockstate file, reload your resource pack in-game through the resource pack menu. Changes take effect immediately for newly loaded chunks. Existing terrain won't update unless you regenerate those areas or use world editing tools.
