Graphene Mod: Improving Performance and Fixing Vanilla Bugs
What Graphene Does
Graphene is a performance mod for Minecraft that focuses on fixing vanilla bugs while boosting frame rate, startup speed, and server performance. It is designed to work alongside almost any other mod, making it suitable for both light clients and large modpacks.
Key Performance Features
One of its main behaviors is that distant entities and tile entities stop ticking when far from players, saving processing power. Important entities like bullets and the Ender Dragon are protected from being frozen by this system. Client startup is faster, shaving time off launch. A background throttling mode lowers FPS and chunk updates when the game window is out of focus, then instantly restores full performance when you return. World generation is quicker and compatible with other chunk acceleration mods, and light engine improvements reduce how often lighting is recalculated.
Configuration
Graphene remains highly configurable, so you can turn individual features on or off depending on your setup.
