Adjust Water Clarity and Reflection Strength
Access Shader Settings
Open the Shader Options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls settings or accessed through the pause menu's Video Settings). Look for the Gnome Shaders configuration panel.
Customize Water Appearance
Within the shader settings, locate water-related options. You'll typically find sliders or toggles for:
- Water clarity: Controls how far you can see through water blocks. Increase this to make oceans and rivers more transparent, or decrease it for a murkier appearance.
- Reflection intensity: Adjusts how strongly the sky and surrounding environment reflect on water surfaces. Higher values create mirror-like reflections; lower values produce subtle, realistic reflections.
- Wave intensity: Some versions allow you to control water surface waviness for different aesthetic preferences.
Apply and Test
After adjusting settings, apply the changes and swim or boat through different water bodies to see the effect. Visit both shallow and deep water to ensure the settings work well across different scenarios. Return to settings to fine-tune if needed.
These adjustments let you balance visual beauty with performance on your system.
