Troubleshooting Portal Glow Not Appearing

Checking Resource Pack Status

If portals aren't showing the glowing border, verify that the resource pack is properly loaded:

1. Open your resource pack folder and confirm the pack is present

2. In-game, go to Settings → Resource Packs and check that the pack appears in the "Active" section (not "Available")

3. If it's in the Available section, click the arrow to move it to Active

4. Close and reopen your world for changes to take effect

Portal-Specific Checks

• Ensure the portal is fully lit (use flint and steel or fire to ignite it)
• Verify the portal frame is made of obsidian blocks in the correct shape
• Check that the portal is not inside a block or structure that might obscure the glow
• Try creating a new test portal in an open area to see if the glow appears

If Problems Persist

• Disable other resource packs temporarily to check for conflicts
• Ensure your Minecraft version matches the pack's compatibility
• Reload the resource pack by toggling it off and back on in settings
• Try the pack in a fresh world to rule out world-specific issues
