Apply a Glowing Trim to Your Armor

Basic Trim Application

To add a glowing trim to any armor piece, you'll need an anvil and a naming method.

1. Open an anvil

2. Place your armor piece in the first slot

3. In the name field, enter the color code for your desired glow (for example: Amethyst, Cherry, Diamond, or Gold)

4. Confirm the rename

5. Your armor will now display the glowing trim effect

Adding Pattern Details

For more complex designs, combine a color with a pattern code in the same name field. The resource pack recognizes patterns like Bolt, Eye, Rib, and Tide alongside your color choice.

If you're using Netherite armor, you have access to exclusive colors: Gilded Blackstone, Magma, and Sculk. These create unique glowing effects that match the darker aesthetic of endgame gear.

Important Note

Make sure OptiFine or a compatible custom texture mod is installed and enabled. Without it, the glowing effect won't render properly, and your trim will appear as a standard color instead of a bright, luminous outline.
