Prevent Settings from Resetting When Switching Instances
The Problem Without Global Options Mod
When you switch between different Minecraft instances, each one has its own options.txt file. Changes you made in one instance don't carry over to another, forcing you to reconfigure your settings repeatedly.
How This Mod Solves It
Global Options Mod eliminates this frustration by creating a unified options.txt file that all instances reference. Once installed:
1. Your settings remain consistent no matter which instance you launch
2. You never need to re-adjust video settings, keybinds, or audio levels
3. New instances automatically inherit your preferred configuration
Best Practice
Configure all your preferred settings in one instance first, then install the mod in your other instances. They'll immediately adopt those settings. If you later change a setting in any instance, all others update automatically.
This is especially useful if you maintain separate instances for different modpacks, snapshots, or play styles—you keep your personal preferences consistent while keeping game versions separate.
