How to Make Glass Doors and Trapdoors That Match Any Wood or Dye Color
Glassential Renewed adds a glass door and glass trapdoor for every vanilla wood type and every dye color. The trick is that you do not craft a generic glass door and then recolor it — each variant is its own block with its own recipe.
Finding the right variant
Open the creative inventory or JEI/REI and search for the word "Glass Door" or "Glass Trapdoor." You will see the full list: Acacia, Bamboo, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak, and so on, plus the sixteen dye-colored versions. Pick the one that matches the frame or trim you are already using.
Crafting them in survival
Each door and trapdoor uses its themed material plus glass in a shaped recipe. Check JEI/REI for the exact layout of the variant you want, because the wood and dye versions differ in their ingredient slots. Once crafted, they place and behave like normal doors and trapdoors — they open, close, and can be powered by redstone — but the panel is transparent, so you can see through them.
Practical uses
Use wood-colored glass doors for cabin and greenhouse builds where you want light but still want a door that reads as wood. Use dye-colored ones for modern builds, colored corridors, or to signal which room is which. Because they are full doors, they also work in iron-door-style redstone setups if you swap the block.
