Adjusting Lighting and Brightness

Access Shader Settings

Open the Shader Options menu while in-game by pressing the designated key (usually found in your controls settings) or through the Video Settings menu. Look for the Shader Options button.

Customize Lighting

GlacierShaders provides several lighting adjustment sliders:

  • Brightness: Increase or decrease overall world brightness to suit your preference and monitor
  • Contrast: Adjust how distinct shadows and highlights appear
  • Saturation: Control color intensity—lower values create a more muted, fantasy tone
  • Ambient Light: Modify how much light fills shadowed areas like caves and interiors

Apply Changes

Most adjustments apply in real-time. Move sliders and observe how your world changes. If you're exploring caves or dark areas, test settings there to see how shadows respond. Return to the surface to check how daylight looks with your new settings.

Save Your Preferences

Once satisfied, close the Shader Options menu. Your settings automatically save and persist across sessions. You can always return to adjust further if lighting feels too bright, too dark, or doesn't match your aesthetic preference.
