GeOre Mod Guide: Growing and Harvesting Ore Crystals

How GeOre Farming Works

GeOre adds ore geodes to the world. These geodes contain crystals of diamond, emerald, redstone, or gold. You can find them scattered around, sometimes close to where you spawn or travel, so keep an eye out while exploring.

The key rule is that crystals only grow inside the geode they belong to. If you break a crystal out and take it home, it will not grow further — it has left its geode. So instead of mining and replanting, you farm in place: find a geode, note its location, and return to it periodically.

Over time, the crystals inside grow. Once they have grown enough, you harvest them for the ore they contain. After harvesting, the geode can continue producing more crystals, letting you collect precious minerals repeatedly without mining fresh veins each time.

This makes geodes a renewable source of diamond, emerald, redstone, and gold. Mark them, revisit them, and harvest when ready.
