Comparing Vanilla and Enhanced Biomes
If you're unsure whether Geophilic Mod is working, or want to verify changes, use these comparison methods.
Visual Inspection
- Terrain shape – Look at hillsides and valleys. Enhanced biomes should show more varied elevation and natural-looking formations
- Vegetation density – Trees and plants should feel more organically distributed rather than randomly scattered
- Block variety – Examine the ground and surfaces for subtle additions that fit the biome theme
- Consistency – Changes should feel intentional and cohesive across large areas, not random or chaotic
Verification Steps
1. Travel to a major biome (forest, plains, or mountains work best)
2. Spend time observing the landscape from multiple angles
3. Compare what you see to vanilla Minecraft screenshots or your memory
4. Look for patterns in how vegetation and terrain are arranged
What NOT to Expect
Remember: Geophilic Mod makes subtle improvements. You won't see new blocks, items, or entirely new biomes. If changes seem too dramatic or unfamiliar, verify the mod is properly loaded. The enhancements should feel like "vanilla, but better."
