What This Resource Pack Does

Gentler Weather Sounds is a resource pack that changes how weather audio is mixed in Minecraft. Rather than replacing weather with silence or new sounds, it softens and balances the existing rain, thunder, and storm audio so it feels less harsh and less overwhelming.

This is useful if loud thunder cracks or constant heavy rain wear on you over long play sessions, or if you play with headphones and want weather to sit further back in the mix. Because it only touches audio, it works in any world and alongside most other packs, as long as they don't also modify the same weather sound files.

To use it, enable the pack in your resource pack settings and make sure it sits above any pack that overrides weather audio. No configuration is needed. If another pack already changes rain or thunder, load order decides which one wins.
